The children of King David
1David had 6 sons who were born in Hebron.
The oldest son was Amnon. The name of his mother was Ahinoam from the town of Jezreel. His 2nd son was Daniel. The name of his mother was Abigail from the town of Carmel. 2His 3rd son was Absalom. The name of his mother was Maakah. She was the daughter of King Talmai from the land of Geshur. His 4th son was Adonijah. The name of his mother was Haggith. 3His 5th son was Shephatiah. The name of his mother was Abital. His 6th son was Ithream. The name of his mother was Eglah.
4These 6 sons of David were born in Hebron. David was king in Hebron for 7 years and 6 months and he was king in Jerusalem for 33 years. 5David had more sons that were born in Jerusalem and they were the 4 sons Shammua, Shobab, Nathan and Solomon. Their mother was Bathsheba, the daughter of Ammiel. 6-8David had another 9 sons and they were Ibhar, Elishua, Eliphelet, Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, Elishama, Eliada and Eliphelet. 9David also had sons with his concubines and the name of one of his daughters was Tamar.
The descendants of Solomon
10The kings who were descendants of Solomon were Rehoboam, Abijah, Asa, Jehoshaphat, 11Jehoram, Ahaziah, Joash, 12Amaziah, Azariah, Jotham, 13Ahaz, Hezekiah, Manasseh, 14Amon and Josiah. Each one became king after his father. 15The 4 sons of Josiah who became kings were Johanan, Jehoiakim, Zedekiah and Shallum.
16The sons of Jehoiakim were Jehoiachin and Zedekiah.
The kings after the people were taken away to Babylon
17Jehoiachin became a prisoner.
His sons were Shealtiel, 18Malkiram, Pedaiah, Shenazzar, Jekamiah, Hoshama and Nedabiah.
19The sons of Pedaiah were Zerubbabel and Shimei. Zerubbabel's sons were Meshullam and Hananiah and his daughter was Shelomith. 20Zerubbabel also had 5 other sons. They were Hashubah, Ohel, Berekiah, Hasadiah and Jushab-Hesed. 21The sons of Hananiah were Pelatiah, Jeshaiah, Rephaiah, Arnan, Obadiah and Shekaniah. 22The son of Shekaniah was Shemaiah and his sons were Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah and Shaphat. There were 6 in all. 23The 3 sons of Neariah were Elioenai, Hizkiah and Azrikam. 24The 7 sons of Elioenai were Hodaviah, Eliashib, Pelaiah, Akkub, Johanan, Delaiah and Anani.
