Lord, I love your temple
Tell the leader of the choir to play the same music as the song about the wine-press. This is a Psalm of the Korah group.
1Lord, You who rule over everything,
I love your temple.
2I want to be at your temple.
I long for the temple of the Lord,
and I want to rejoice and
be with the living God.
3Lord, You who rule over everything,
the sparrows have nests
and the swallows have a place
for their babies at your altars,
my King and my God.
4You bless people who live in your temple.
They always praise You, and they never stop. Selah
5You bless the people who trust in You
and know that You will protect them,
the people who want to come to your house.
6When they go through the Valley of Baka,
the fountains open for them,
and when the first rain falls in autumn,
there are pools of water everywhere.
7You make your people stronger every day
until they come to God in Zion.
8Lord, God Almighty,
please listen when I pray.
Please hear what I ask You,
God_of_Jacob. Selah
9O God, please be good to the king
who has to protect us.
Please look after your anointed servant.
10One day in your house is better
than 1 000 days at any other place.
It is better for me to be a gatekeeper
in the temple of my God than to live
in the beautiful homes of sinful people.
11The Lord God gives us life
and He protects us.
God is merciful and He honours us.
He gives good things to honest people.
12O Lord Almighty,
You bless everyone who trusts in You.
