2 PETROSE 3
But grow in the grace, and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18
Deep within each one of us there is an amazing inner sanctuary, a garden of the soul, a holy place and a Voice, to which we continually return. There is also a light which illuminates the face of God and casts light on our journey here on earth.
However, the Divine Gardener cannot sow seeds of justice and peace where there is nothing but hearts of dry soil and rocks. Our hearts need tilling and the digging out of deeply rooted sins that crowd out the seedlings planted through God’s divine compassion for mankind and creation.
We believe with all our being in the God of love. Just as the earth, after a drought produces green shoots and gardens spring into new life, so God causes justice, love and kindness to spring up among all peoples and all nations.
We believe in a God who dresses us in the garments of salvation, and in Christ who covers our sins with his love and forgiveness, and adopts us as his children and promises to make us a crown of beauty.
Prayer: Divine Gardener, You tend to us with your steadfast love, unending mercies and eternal faithfulness. You cultivate true friendship with us through boundless your mercy which is constantly planted in our hearts by Christ. May the Maker’s blessing be under you, above you, in your garden, and on your journey, guiding and cherishing you. May the Son’s blessing be with you always. Amen
