*Psalms 12

₁Lord, please help me.

All the good people are gone,

and there is no one left who is faithful.

₂People are false,

and they tell lies to each other.

They say things to make other people feel good,

but they are not_true. They are false.

₃Lord, please stop those people

who boast and tell stories that are not_true.

₄They think that they can speak very well

and that they will always win

when they argue with someone,

and they think that no one can stop them.

₅But the Lord says: ‘I see

all the bad things that sinners do

to the people who can not protect themselves,

and I hear how the poor people who have nothing

sigh and complain.

They have asked Me to help them and

I will come and help them now

and give them what they want.’

₆When the Lord speaks,

you can believe Him.

His words are not false. They are pure

like silver which has been melted

and purified 7 times in a furnace.

₇Lord, You will keep us safe,

and You will always protect us

from bad and sinful people.

₈Sinful people are everywhere

and all around us.

The people of this world

love things that are wrong.
