*Psalms 126

₁It was like a dream when

the Lord brought us back to Zion.

₂We were happy.

We laughed and we sang

and the other nations said:

‘The Lord has done

great things for his people.’

₃Yes, the Lord has done

great things for us and we rejoice.

₄Lord, please be good to us

and be with us.

Let it be like streams of water in the desert.

₅People who cry when they sow their wheat

will sing when they harvest it.

₆People who cry

when they carry the seed and sow

will laugh and sing when they

come back and carry

the bundles of wheat that they have harvested.
