At times we find ourselves at a place where we can only trust God for a breakthrough. During those moments we often discover something unique about God’s ability to answer prayer. Here is Eugene Lubbe’s testimony:

Eugene: “It was a very dark day when I got my vehicle back from the panel beaters, realizing that it still needed further repairs.

I had been in a car accident weeks prior and the insurance did not want to pay out as it states in the fine print of the contract that they only pay out if the vehicle was written off. In utter desperation I had to take out a loan to repair the vehicle as my job requires me to have one.

When I discovered that the repair work was not correctly done, I sent back the car, just to be informed that it would cost me a further R8250. All I could do was to tell them to finish the work and that I would pay by the end of the month. I did not have the money to pay for it.

My fiancé, Ilze and I were devastated. We were saving for our wedding and we would have to use some of our savings to pay for the car. We prayed together and asked God for a miracle.

At the end of the month, I received my salary slip. I sat down in front of my desk in the morning and opened the envelope as I wanted to see what plans I could come up with to pay for the vehicle. To my surprise, I discovered that the company I work for decided to start paying overtime that specific month. The amount of my overtime I received was exactly R8250! I started crying, knowing that it was God that provided for us.

God did not stop there. He provided for us from strange sources so we could pay for our beautiful wedding in cash. Also, when we wanted to buy our first house (which felt impossible), He provided for us in supernatural ways. God is truly my Rock and Savior and He never disappoints us! ”

Eugene is right. God is our ROCK and Salvation. In Psalm 18:2 we read: “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.” Also in Psalm 62: 2 we read: “He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken.” And in Ephesians 3:20, we read: “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”

God can still surprise us in ways we did not even think off. Let us rest in Him as our safe place in the middle of storms. God bless.

Father God, thank you for being my ROCK in every situation. Please help me with (name the situation). I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen
