Do you need to make important decisions today? Do you, for instance, have to decide to move or stay, get a new job or keep your current one, get married or not, start a family or rather wait or make a great investment or rather not? Or do you need to decide how to treat your rebellious teenager or how to repair your broken marriage?
How do you make decisions? Do you ask God for advice and guidance, and trust the peace in your heart or do you merely inform him after your decisions have been made?
How do we know we can ask God for wisdom? In James 1:5 we read: “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.” Do you have the courage to ask God for guidance?
How do we know that God really speaks to us? In Isaiah 30:21 we read: “Right behind you a voice will say, ‘This is the way you should go,’ whether to the right or to the left.” The Holy Spirit guides us daily. Are you tuned in to his voice?
What is the value of making God part of your decisions? In Proverbs 3:5-6 it is written: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” Also in Matthew 6:33: “… seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”
God knows the future. Ask him for guidance and you can be sure that he will lead you past all the potential pitfalls on your route. Let’s thank him for that. God bless.
