₁Lord, I look up to You where

You sit on your throne in heaven.

₂Yes, we look at the Lord our God

like slaves look at their owners,

like a slave girl looks at the woman

to whom she belongs.

We look up to the Lord and wait for Him

to have mercy on us.

₃Lord, please have mercy on us,

and be gracious to us,

because people have laughed at us

for too long.

₄Those proud people have mocked

and humiliated us for too long.
